Just wanted to make mention that I've managed (with the help of Simon)
to repair my lil butterfly stud.. :)
We used a solder, so it's got a blob of metal behind.. but it can't be seen, so it's okay I guess.
Wasn't keen on returning the stud as I really like it, so I'm glad that after quite a few weeks,
it's finally fixed!

Thanks Chris (of Itsy Beadsy) for offering to help me to take the stud back to Ipoh to fix!
And thanks June (of A Fashion Story) for letting me know about your very neat idea of attaching studs to lil styrofoam cutouts so that they wont get bent/broken :)

Hey shoppers :)
Sorry for the lack of updates. It's not without reason though.

I think the main reason was caused by a spate of unpleasant online shopping experiences
which left me thinking, "why not just go to bazaars instead?"
(I'm still trying to fix an earring stud that I had gotten a few weeks ago
that got bent through postage, and subsequently broken..)

Anyway, I've figured that blogshops still serve as a good guide to know what will potentially be available at offline bazaars, and most jewelry blogshops still have one-of-a-kind jewelry.

It was that, plus I had been busy and was away for awhile too.
So, I'll still be updating, but only intermittently as I've to reprioritise what I do daily.
June & July's always a busy time for me anyway.

Do drop by anyhow as blogshops are continously updating on my sidebar :)
And blogshop owners who do COD for free or at a minimal charge, do buzz me!

On the flipside, let's not forget the non-combatant victims in Israel too.
This war isn't as straightforward as is portrayed in the media...
Always two sides to a story huh?
Such a long-standing war... Sigh..

Came across this site last week and found that she's having a contest!
Most of you would have already known by now that I'm a fan of birdy stuffs, so here's my attempt at winning a birdy mug and print :D

You just have to write a lil script for a Birdie Says mug and the most creative entry will win.
More details here.

Well, I've thought about this for a whole week, and here are my entries:

1.
Lil squirrel friend on the left cupping its mouth with its hand says, "I was told a lil..."
Birdie on the right with arms crossed, eyes closed and head slightly tilted to one side say, "It wasn't me!"

2.
Birdie looking cool in a pair of sunglasses says, "Hot stuff!"
Perhaps with some sand on the ground too.

3. For my third entry, I've made a rough illustration:

*fingers crossed!*

A FASHION STORY

..N690 Owl double necklace
rm17.70
Just last weekend I told myself that I shouldn't buy anymore accessories for at least
a few months, and then I saw this...

Doesn't it look so blur (and cute)? And look at its lil feet!
I hope June will be able to restock this :)

*edit
She did restock, and it's mine!! :D

Away Jan '09

Going away for a week and will be back next Saturday.
I get to skip the back-to-school rush!!

Might update while I'm away :)

Merry Christmas '08

I'll be away on quite a long holiday soon and would like to wish everyone a blessed Christmas and new year. Would also like to share a lil something that I had made for my
colleagues turned friends in Sydney for Christmas last year :)

Lil angel decoration
Now that was tiring!
May 2009 be all you want it to be, and more :)
I'm soo looking forward to my super duper long weekend!

..Cross nine
rm76
A modernised old rugged cross. Very nice.
I especially love the cross wire wrap in the middle!
She also writes for another site called The Work Room.
There, she shares how some her pieces are created, what tools are best, and has tutorials on how to make a loop, jump ring, etc. A very practical site where I spent a good couple of hours at last week. (I bought a few things from beading.com.my and am hoping to be able to make a pair of earrings soon! :D)

Gonna be a busy week next week (with four deadlines)
and will be rather busy from beginning Nov to end Dec as well..
Sigh... not looking forward to it at all.. not even if it's paid overtime..
I just wanna go home on time! :(

Do click on the links on the sidebar if I've gone missing here and there yeah.

Btw, I'll be at Eco Film Fest, so will Soak Republic and Mimpi Murni!
I'll only be there on Sunday though. Would like to catch Mia again :)

Remember to bring your cloth shopping bags! ;)

Got Shi Min from Charming Pieces to custom make this necklace for a friend's
three-year-old daughter for Christmas :D

I thought of getting this for her cause I had just gotten a book for her birthday last month and it came with a (rather chaplang) cross necklace.
But she was real excited about it and said to her mum, "Look! It's like yours!"
(while pointing to her mum's diamond cross pendant)

Three weeks later, I saw her wearing that chaplang cross necklace at service
and I told her that I'll get her a pink one :)

Thanks Shi Min!

A friend and I like this tree, but thought that it'd be slightly funny to have trees hanging from our ears. So, we decided to buy a pair, dismantle it, and wear it with a necklace ;)

You may do the same with other earrings, and it's half the cost!
(But make sure the earrings come with lil jump rings though.)

Today, Simon and I have been together for four and a half years :)
I usually don't take into account the point five years, but this one just means more
to me for several reasons and I thought of sharing it in this space of mine.
Yay!
